Reading is one of the inbuilt skills that everyone has. Reading helps us in multiple ways like writing, knowing the vocabulary, understanding the text etc. It helps us to reduce stress and free up the mind. Research says that reading helps us to prevent Alzheimer disease. Challenge yourself by stepping out of your comfort zone. You may even surprise yourself with a newly found passion. Unlike watching television, reading allows creative thinking. It also helps to improve our concentration level. A recent study found that a mere 6 minutes of reading reduces muscle tension and slows down the heart rate of readers. Hovering fingers over the words will improve our reading process. Lack of reading leads to cognitive lagging, grammatical competence and concentration. Some will read without enthusiasm, but it is of no use. Life has ups and downs. We all know that a coin has two sides. Same way in life, we also experience both happiness and sadness. There is a way to overcome our sadness by reading books that help us to know new things to gain knowledge. The learnings from the books can be applied in our life to solve certain problems. Develop the interest of reading by creating a booklist, carry a book wherever you go, set a time for reading and read new books. We are drowning in information but starved of knowledge. The world is becoming more digitalised. What has the digital era brought to people? Digital activities have been helping us in many fields, ranging from daily life to scientific research and from automated production to school learning. We can also read newspapers and update what is happening around us. Sharing our knowledge helps us to grow faster. We can also share our views and knowledge to everyone, anywhere at any time. Failure is the stepping stone to success. By facing failures, we will become stronger and we build our eagerness to learn. Reading helps to overcome from failures. We all are grown by hearing bed time stories from our parents and grandparents in our childhood. They get registered in our mind. Readers will become good listeners. Reading loudly will help to focus more on what you are reading. It helps to know more new words and their meaning. Experiencing new things in life will help you to learn more and moulds you a stronger person in society to face any kind of situations in life. Knowledge will also expand profoundly. Apply the ideas gained from reading in your career or business to bring it in top-notch position. Developing language skills will become easier when practising reading exercise daily. Pronounce new words and learn their meaning. Teach what you have learned to five persons daily to develop your language. Many will hesitate to speak in English because of their poor language skills. To overcome this, learn daily and speak with others. Reading is the best way to improve our writing. Write to be understood, Speak to be heard, Read to Grow. Younger generation will follow you. What you have read and what you have left for them will speak about you. Share your thoughts after reading, suggest some interesting books and help others to get rid of their loneliness.
